Like Countering, Batman’s ability to avoid bullets, knives, and unblockable attacks helps his combat rating. Counters keep Batman’s streaks going and improve your grade. It’s simple to say, but Combos don’t continue if Batman gets hit. Each grade provides an experience multiplier, with high grades granting Batman a greater reward.Īccomplishing high grades in combat encounters boils down to three main variables: Whenever Batman finishes an encounter, his performance in the encounter is graded between D (lowest) and S (highest). You Can’t Grab Everything The Moment You See ItĪs you explore Gotham, you’ll encounter dozens of Collectibles. You won’t have much use for Ballistic protection in the very early game, but as more and more foes with firearms appear you’ll appreciate the extra protection. Every extra level of melee armor increases your survivability.Īfter Combat Armor, buff up your Ballistic Armor. Why? Because no matter how stealthy and smart you are, Arkham Origins is going to force you into lots and lots of fistfights. Before upgrading anything else, buff up your Combat Armor.
